Concept Espalier: The Cloister of Vineyards

The brief of this project was to rehabilitate a 15th century monastery into a winery and tasting experience with a strong emphasis on preserving the historic structure of the site. Primarily focusing on noninvasive design methods for the built environment, I ensured the original structure stayed intact, while repurposing spaces to have contemporary, multiuse functions. The result is an experience where users can enjoy regional Corsican wines in a contemporary space juxtaposed by medieval stonework.
