Concept Fons et Origo 

The course in which this project was assigned is considered to be the most technical within SCAD's Interior Design program. This is when building codes and construction documents are integrated into the curriculum; therefore, the construction documents produced in this course are the most detailed from my academic career, besides those of my senior capstone project entitled Vin de Corse-du-Sud.

The brief of this project was to design a public workspace attached to an architectural design firm. During the design process, I became attached to the ideals of the democratization of architecture and the creation of easily-accessible spaces for all people to enjoy. I incorporated this into my final design with a simplified split staircase, influenced by the stairs of the Palais Garnier in Paris.
